The 2024–2025 Digital Content Grant, the MDCG, and the MDXG are the three programs that make up Malaysia's digital infrastructure. Applications for these grants will be accepted beginning September 9, 2024, and will be accepted until they are all filled.

The DCG 2024/2025 offers three distinct award programs for those who create digital content.

THE WINNER

Each winner of the Mini Grant is limited to RM150,000.00 in funding for digital content product creation, production, and commercialization, while the Prime Grant provides up to RM500,000.00 in funding for the same.

One lucky winner will get a marketing and commercialization award of up to RM300,000 to help them bring their digital content goods to market.

Digital content development, production, and commercialization in animation, digital games, digital comics, and creative technologies have all benefited greatly from the DCG's assistance to Malaysian creative content enterprises since 2016.

To encourage innovation in Malaysia's IT industry, the MDCG is offering up to RM1 million, or half of the total project cost, whichever is less.

The grant provides up to a year of funding for projects within the Malaysia Digital (MD) Promoted Sectors, with an emphasis on promoting scalable, high-impact solutions.

Supporting Malaysian enterprises positioned for worldwide expansion through high-value technology activities, the MDXG offers up to RM1 million, or half of the project expenditures.

From marketing a local homegrown startup with a blockchain-based electric car app across Southeast Asia to installing 5G network-powered Internet of Things solutions for ATM protection in worldwide markets, MDXG has facilitated international expansion with project durations up to one year.

Only companies possessing the MD status, whether they are local or foreign-owned, are eligible to apply for MDCG and MDXG.

Companies who have not yet achieved MD certification are being encouraged to apply by MDEC.
