About Indusry4WRD Readiness Assessment
The Industry4WRD Readiness Assessment Intervention Programme or in short known as 'Industry4WRD Intervention Fund' was launched by the Government in Budget 2019. It is a financial support facility for Malaysian SMEs in the manufacturing and related services sectors to embrace Industry 4.0. This Fund is eligible for all SMEs which have completed the government-funded Industry4WRD Readiness Assessment (RA) programme.

PEOPLE
Shift Factor
Focuses on the people and the entire organisation by emphasising on strategies towards having a suitable set of workforce. This can be achieved through the development of the required humanA capital and sustainable transformation activities with regards to organisational strategies, collaboration and governance.
PROCESS
Shift Factor
Focuses on the management system involved in running business operations, supply chain and product lifecycle, by emphasising on smart and strategic public-private partnerships, security, sustainability and product co-creation.
TECHNOLOGY
Shift Factor
Focuses on the application of intelligent, connected and automated technologies, measured at three different layers of the business: shop floor, facilities and enterprise.
The readiness criteria model consists of three interconnected layers of rings with three shift factors (the core ring).

Each shift factor is then divided into thrusts (the middle ring), and each thrust is subsequently divided into dimensions (the third and outermost ring).

There is 2 funding that you can apply
1) INTERVENTION FUND (500K)
​
The fund will be provided on matching basis (70:30) based on eligible expenditures, up to a maximum grant of Ringgit Malaysia Five Hundred Thousand (RM500,000.00) only. Maximum 30% of the matching amount (70% of total grant) will be provided in upfront to the companies subject to the approval by Intervention Fund Approval Committee at MITI, whereby the balance of the remaining grant will be on reimbursable basis which will be deliberated at MIDA.

2) INDUSTRY4WRD DISF
​
In addition to that, the Government has also introduced the 'Industry4WRD Domestic Investment Strategic Fund (DISF)' under the Budget 2019. The Industry4WRD DISF provides matching grant in the form of 60:40 ratio based on a reimbursable basis to Malaysian companies which have undertaken the Industry4WRD RA programme.

Objective is to assist companies that have undergone the Industry4WRD Readiness Assessment (RA) programme to migrate into Industry 4.0
Eligible only to companies that have undergone the Industry4WRD Readiness Assessment (RA) programme with Malaysian equity ownership of at least 60%
Effective date of application is from the date of approval of Industry 4WRD RA Report (MPC’s letter) until 31 December 2021
